Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
Effective date: May 7, 2026
Aviafares is committed to making travel booking accessible to every US traveler, including those using assistive technologies.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This applies to our website, our booking application, and our agent-assisted phone service.
What we've implemented
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy and ARIA landmarks.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Color contrast ratios of 4.5:1 or greater for body text.
- Alt text on informative images; decorative images are
aria-hidden. - Forms with associated labels and clear error messaging.
- Skip links on every page with a complex header.
- Support for screen readers (tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver).
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time audit. We
run automated WCAG checks on every deploy via axe-core in our CI
pipeline, and we engage human testers (including users of assistive
tech) before major releases.
Reporting a barrier
If you encounter a barrier using our site, please let us know so we can fix it:
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: our booking agents are available 24/7 for anyone who prefers to complete a booking by voice.
We target a response within two business days and a fix within 30 days for barriers that prevent booking.
Third-party content
Some content on our site (airline logos, airport imagery, embedded search partners) comes from third parties. We do our best to ensure accessibility here too but cannot guarantee conformance for content we do not control. If you hit a third-party barrier, tell us and we will raise it with the provider.
