Round trip flights

Almost always cheaper than two one-ways, here's how the math works and when it breaks down.

|

Live fares from hundreds of airlines.

Airlines price round-trip tickets as a single fare, typically 20–40% below the sum of two one-way fares on the same flights. This reflects how airline revenue management has always worked: a single sale of both legs is worth more than two independent sales.

Round-trip also unlocks more fare classes, many refundable / fully-changeable fare buckets only exist on round-trip itineraries. If flexibility matters, book round-trip even if you're not 100% sure you'll use the return.

Frequently asked questions

When is a one-way cheaper than a round-trip?
Rarely, and only in very specific scenarios: open-jaw international tickets (fly into X, out of Y), award bookings, and certain low-cost-carrier domestic flights where the airline doesn't price round-trip buckets at all (Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant).
Can I change the return date on a round-trip?
Depends on the fare basis. Most main-cabin and premium fares allow changes for a fee (or for the fare difference). Basic economy typically does not. Check your specific ticket's fare rules or call our team.
What if I miss my outbound and skip to the return?
Don't, airlines automatically cancel the remaining segments when you no-show the first leg. This is the single most common booking mistake. If your plans change, call us BEFORE the outbound departs.
