Premium cabin

Premium economy flights

The long-haul sweet spot. More legroom, wider seats, better food, priority boarding, without the business-class price.

Live fares from hundreds of airlines.

Premium economy typically costs 1.5–2× economy while delivering a measurably better experience: 5–7 additional inches of legroom, seat widths around 19 inches, dedicated overhead bin space, priority boarding, a real meal service, and, on most carriers, a separate cabin insulated from behind. It's where the smart long-haul money goes.

Frequently asked questions

Is premium economy worth it over economy?
On flights longer than 6 hours, almost always yes. The extra legroom alone makes sleep possible for most adults. On shorter hops the price premium is harder to justify, regular economy with a paid seat selection is usually enough.
Is premium economy the same as 'Main Cabin Extra' or 'Economy Plus'?
No, those are extra-legroom economy seats, not a separate cabin. True premium economy on carriers like British Airways, Lufthansa, ANA, and Air France is a physically distinct cabin between economy and business.
Does premium economy earn more miles?
Usually yes. Most frequent-flyer programs give a 100% mileage multiplier for premium economy vs. 50–75% for basic economy. Confirm with the operating carrier for your specific fare class.
