One way flights

One-way pricing is unforgiving on most carriers, here's when it still makes sense.

|

Live fares from hundreds of airlines.

One-way international fares are typically 60–80% of a round-trip, which means two one-ways cost roughly 120–160% of the same round-trip itinerary. Book round-trip unless you have a specific reason not to.

Good reasons to book one-way: you're moving permanently, you're connecting to another one-way on a different carrier, you're using miles on one leg and cash on the other, or you're flying a low-cost carrier that prices every flight as a one-way by default.

Frequently asked questions

Are one-way tickets a red flag at immigration?
For some destinations, yes, countries that require onward travel proof (Thailand, Philippines, parts of Latin America) may ask for an exit ticket at check-in or immigration. If you're flying one-way internationally, make sure you have a documented onward plan (return ticket, resident visa, proof of sufficient funds).
Can I book a one-way with an open return?
Modern airline tickets are date-stamped, there's no such thing as an 'open return' in 2026. What you're probably thinking of is a flexible round-trip where the return date can be changed without a fee. Our agents can find those fare classes.
