Fare Disclosure

We want the price on your screen to be the price you pay. Here is exactly what Aviafares displays and where each element comes from.

What the fare price includes

When you see a total fare on Aviafares, it includes:

  • Base fare charged by the operating airline.
  • Government taxes and fees for every segment in the itinerary (FAA, TSA 9/11 Security Fee, APHIS, Customs User Fee, and foreign- country departure taxes where applicable).
  • Carrier-imposed surcharges (fuel surcharges, international surcharges). These are part of the ticket price, not an extra.
  • Aviafares service fee of $20 per ticket, included in the displayed total so the price you see is the price you pay. Higher fees may apply for complex multi-city tickets or agent-assisted bookings, and are disclosed before payment.

What is NOT included in the displayed fare

These are optional or situational and appear as separate line items either during checkout or at the airport:

  • Checked baggage and overweight/oversize fees (airline-specific, see our Baggage Policy Guide).
  • Seat assignments on basic-economy and some main-cabin fares.
  • Onboard food, Wi-Fi, and in-flight entertainment upgrades.
  • Travel insurance, if you elect to purchase it separately.
  • Change and cancellation fees if you modify the ticket after ticketing (see Refund & Cancellation Policy).
  • Airline third-party partner fees (e.g. loyalty-program access, priority boarding, premium seat upgrades) that you opt into.

Fare accuracy

Fares are quoted in real time from airline and GDS/NDC supplier feeds . A fare is only binding at the moment of ticketing. If a fare changes between your search and checkout, the price shown at the final confirmation step is what you will pay, we never silently add charges between confirmation and payment.

Unpublished and consolidator fares

Some Aviafares fares, especially in business and first class, are unpublished "agent-assisted" rates that we obtain from our wholesale partners. These rates are only available through our booking agents and are not displayed on public search results. They come with the same protections as published fares (CAT 5/CAT 16 fare rules, baggage inclusion, cancellation policies per airline).

Currency

All prices on Aviafares are shown in US dollars. Where we quote a fare that the airline prices in a foreign currency, conversion is done at the daily interbank mid-market rate plus a standard merchant processing margin disclosed at checkout.
